It gave me an unusual sense of connecting, maybe because I think that loving intention accompanying an action cooperates somehow with God's loving intention in the universe and the art communicates that to the finder. Glad you're thinking about it for next year!Quicksilver Spirithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15397577543419721981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5994660709032722652.post-35346112925394203092014-11-29T19:16:33.809-08:002014-11-29T19:16:33.809-08:00After a particularly stressful week doing for othe...After a particularly stressful week doing for others, I saw the SNR box and thought "Let's see what happening out there tonight". But instead I discovered a your wonderful piece of Free Art!! Is it a beautiful window and makes me think of the homes in old Europe or Mexico where red geranium's grow in window boxes. The white crumbling stucco walls with a touch of Turqouise, my favorite color were perfect for my daydreams. I can't tell you how blessed, fortunate, happy, this made me. I am a social worker by trade but also tend to stretch myself thin in my personal life. I needed some generosity my way and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I think I will have to pay this forward next year. But I also compare it to Pearl Harbor which was also terrible in the same way. My father was there and was a survivor. He told me the story from his point of view on board one of the ships attacked. But there is a difference - you said it - it was an attack of national interest. 9/11 was not - it was a religious attack - an attack on our beliefs done by a radical religious faction. Why do we have to celebrate this event as a major holiday when most of us forget the date of Pearl Harbor and many other significant dates in our country's history. No, I won't be celebrating this terrible thing that happened and I won't be forgetting it either. <br />Thanks again for your wonderful insights into life.Judyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12158175455355579154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5994660709032722652.post-60762469598408295462011-09-13T23:24:56.608-07:002011-09-13T23:24:56.608-07:00Thanks, Colleen. I quickly found that I was not limited, as a person, to just one type of flower or one color. There is so much to what makes me who I am... Thinking about the N.A.M.I. community, the painting quickly took on a broader meaning-the metaphor for all of our diversity, our various gifts and challenges. I felt compelled to try to visually describe the many forms, colors, etc. :)Quicksilver Spirithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15397577543419721981noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5994660709032722652.post-24080406352547896472011-06-03T09:20:42.611-07:002011-06-03T09:20:42.611-07:00You struck a nerve from my past...I too was a sing...You struck a nerve from my past...I too was a single mom, struggling to feed 4 kids and myself on a small paycheck.
